Before booking
Understand the artist
Read Yuyi’s path from fine-art training to tattooing since 2010, plus the exact documented event record.
Choose a visual direction
If black and grey is the starting point, learn how value and composition carry an image without colour.
Design and placement
Define the subject
Name the person, character, symbol, animal or scene. Say what the subject means visually; a client biography is not required.
Choose useful references
Send one to three high-resolution images and explain what you like: crop, atmosphere, pose, colour or contrast.
Show scale on the body
Give the placement and approximate size. For large work, a clear placement photo helps the first planning conversation.
A reference starts a conversation; it is not a promise to copy another artist’s work or to reproduce a finished portfolio piece exactly.
Care and safety boundary
Tattoo aftercare varies with the dressing, placement and the instructions given for that tattoo. Keep the written instructions you receive and do not mix several online routines.

Placement: where it should sit.
Approximate size: a rough width or height.
Preferred timing: especially if you are travelling.
