Approving a Tattoo Design From Overseas: Avoiding Last-Minute Assumptions

If you are booking from overseas, remote messages can settle much of a tattoo brief, but not every placement decision. Make the difference clear before arranging your trip around a session.

Agree how review will happen

Confirm the artist, Singapore local time and the channel used for design discussions. Send reference files at a useful resolution with the subject, dimensions and body area. If existing tattoos are involved, include a wider view rather than only a close crop.

Ask when you will review the design and how comments should be sent. One organised list of priorities is easier to follow than conflicting messages across several channels. Mark what is approved and what is still being discussed.

Leave room for the body check

A screen mockup is not the same as seeing a stencil on your body. Confirm which decisions remain for arrival, whether an in-person consultation must precede tattooing and whether the project realistically fits your stay.

If your travel dates change, tell the studio before assuming the booking can move. Ask separately how deposits, cancellations and any return visit are handled. Remote approval should not become pressure to accept an unsuitable placement on the day.

Contact Yuyi Tattoo to discuss the review process and available dates. This guide does not promise completion within a holiday or a fixed online design turnaround.
